KDP dashboards show 40-70% KENP drops after Kindle+ migration
Authors report lifetime page counts rewritten overnight, with one losing 413,131 pages, while August payments reportedly matched pre-migration figures

According to the outlet, authors on a KDP Community thread opened October 21 reported their Royalties Estimator and KENP reports had suddenly dropped 40-50% for the current month and for prior months. A separate thread the same day described overnight losses of 117,148 lifetime pages, split between 77,186 cut from 2025 totals and 39,962 from 2026, and one author reported 413,131 pages disappearing overnight. A Reddit post cited by the outlet described September KENP falling from 1,070,076 to 310,018, with the new Pages Listened column showing a single page.
The outlet reported mixed support responses: one reply from JP Reedman said support called it a glitch tied to the Pages Listened change and promised a fix within one to three days, while other authors in the same and a parallel thread said support told them the figures were correct, or that tickets had been escalated with no public notice. X posts from October 23 cited by the outlet included Matt Drabble reporting a loss of over 70% of his October KENP royalties, and Daren Hatfield describing a book order that produced no processed order, no pages read, and no estimated royalty.
The outlet reported that as of October 29, one author said August royalty payments had arrived accurately and matched pre-migration figures, while October trackers and historical views remained understated and no banner or community-wide statement from KDP had appeared. The outlet noted the October KDP Select Global Fund figure, normally released around mid-November, will be the first official data point on the fund.
Here's the part that should keep you calm, not panicked: the August royalty payment one author checked actually matched the old numbers. That tells me this is, for now, a reporting problem, not a money-gone-missing problem. But "for now" is doing a lot of work in that sentence, and the only way to hold Amazon to it is with your own paper trail.
