Which AI and publishing platforms authors are actually hearing about — counted off the author news wire, not off usage or revenue.

A fixed watchlist of AI and publishing platforms is matched, case-insensitively and on whole words, against the titles of the stories the Coral Wire desk collected over the previous 30 days. Buzz is the count of matching stories: how loudly a name is being discussed on the author news wire, not its usage, market share, revenue or quality. The direction marker is that name’s sentiment balance across those same stories (up = positive exceeds negative by more than 8 points, down = the reverse, flat = neither). It is NOT a change since yesterday. Title matching means a story that discusses a platform without naming it in the headline is not counted.
Buzz is a headline count, so it measures news attention and nothing else. A platform authors use every day but that nobody writes headlines about will rank low, and a platform in the middle of a lawsuit will rank high. The watchlist is fixed and hand-chosen, so a platform not on it scores nothing at all rather than zero mentions.
Coral Wire began storing a dated daily snapshot of this leaderboard on 2026-08-21. Before that date the leaderboard was computed live and never written down, so there is no history to publish and none has been reconstructed. The series therefore begins 2026-08-21 and grows by one row per platform per day.
