This roundup is really two stories wearing one headline. On one track, Canadian publishers are suing Anthropic. On the other, Google just added Reach and CNN to its AI news partnerships. Nothing here tells us the two tracks are connected, so I won't pretend they are. What I will say is this: watch both tracks separately, because they're moving at different speeds and for different reasons.
