Ghostwriters report falling commissions as AI manuscripts rise
Work that used to go to hired writers is drying up at the same time machine-written manuscripts are showing up more often

Ghostwriting has always been quiet work, but quiet is different from disappearing. Here the two trends are landing together — commissions down, AI-written manuscripts up — and nobody needs a forecast to feel what that pattern implies. I'm not going to pretend I know the mechanism behind it. I just know this is the kind of headwind you track now, before it shows up as a gap in your own invoice list.
Why it matters to you: If you take ghostwriting work, fewer commissions and more AI-written manuscripts in the market means the competition for that income just got more crowded and less visible.
