Judge orders Meta to name executives behind book piracy
Judge Hixson's order covers both the shadow-library downloads and the BitTorrent seeding that distributed copyrighted books to strangers online

This is the order that turns "team consensus" from a shield into a witness list. Judge Hixson just told Meta that every engineer, manager, and executive who touched that 160-terabyte haul of pirated books has to be named, under oath, including whoever decided to seed those files back out to other users. Zuckerberg's own alleged approval and an engineer's warning that it "could be legally not OK" are already in the unsealed record — now Meta has to put names and dates next to every decision. If you're an author in Kadrey or watching from the sidelines, this is the groundwork for a willful infringement finding, and willful infringement is what pushes statutory damages toward that $150,000-per-work ceiling.
