ACX touts 26% royalty gain, one author walks anyway
ACX says 64% of creators earned more under its new model, but one longtime audiobook publisher is delisting by December 31 over unanswered math.

A 26% royalty bump sounds like great news until you notice ACX never tells you what happened to the other 36% of creators. That's not transparency, that's a highlight reel. If a customer spends their credit on your audiobook, you deserve to know that money came to you, not that it got pooled and redistributed by some formula ACX won't fully explain.
Why it matters to you: Audible's new royalty model is already reshaping audiobook income, and authors who can't see the full breakdown are being asked to trust numbers they can't verify.
